Case Management Inservice Topics

Western Physical Therapy inservice lectures are usually customized to the needs of the group, and include additional time for question and answer sessions.  Sample Case Service Management topics are as follows:

  • Documention of physical therapist services

  • Introduction to documentation of services which support coding utilization.  Case examples will facilitate the case manager's request and receipt of clear documentation.
     
  • Modality usage in physical therapy services

  • Current information on use and effectiveness of modalities.  Utilization of modality usage and passive therapies vs. modalities usage in conjunction with other patient education and active interventions which affect return to work will be discussed.
     
  • Managing the patient with Low Back dysfunction

  • Low back dysfunction will be reviewed in terms of strength and flexibility requirements for return to work duties. Case examples of documention evaluation, intervention, treatment, and self management will be described.
